The Westport beach area has been a specialty for our office. This former ranch house was located on a lovely hill within walking distance to the beach. Zoning constrictions on the property were numerous. Many had looked at the property but were not able to see the potential.
Regulations allowed this home to be only 2 ½ stories high. The walk-out basement counted as a story, making a true second story impossible. With creativity the walk-out became a basement and a 2 story home was built.
This home was one of the very first true shingle style homes in the Westport area. Meticulous attention to detail and materials made this home a one of a kind.
