For many years, the clients had lived in this1970’s contemporary, with no eaves, overhangs or detail. The new design called for soaring ceilings and broad 4 foot hipped roof overhangs reminding them of far away places that they had previously lived in.
The main roof was bumped up to heighten the ceiling in the living room, to allow for new transoms over the doors, and to accentuate the dramatic space. Second floor exterior balconies were fitted with new cable railing to allow visual access to the outdoors. A new field stone entry invites you to enter the exciting and timeless new spaces.
